Did you hear that Water has been nominated for an Oscar in the best foreign language film catagory this year? I know it is not a true Bollywood film and it's an entry from Canada, but it has John Abraham in it and that's good enough for me.

The Oscars can really propel a film. Although I was no stranger to Bollywood films, it was Lagaan's Oscar nomination that made me aware of its existence (my focus before that was on classic B'wood only).

Also features works by Anoushka Shankar, G.S. Sachdev, and the vocals of Sukhwinder Singh, among others.
I really hope Water wins the best foreign lang Oscar--the film is beautiful!

I liked her other 2 films...FIRE and EARTH. I have WATER on order from the Library...I can't wait to see it.
