Some I have that I really love are *Main Hoon Na *Veer Zaara *Chalte Chalte *Paheli..
(Hmm..I didn't really pay attention to the fact that they were all Sharukh movies, I just realized it, I just liked the
sweet songs...)...
Thanks a ton..

I'm loving the soundtrack to Jawani Diwani these days

    www.musicindiaonline.com/l/17/....8192/

There's a great Sunidhi Chauhan number, Dilruba (not the Niyaz song), a Middle Eastern-inspired number with part-Arabic vocal, Dil Dewana, and an oh-so-sonicliciously-midtempo track entitled Tere Ishq Main (can't stop dancing to this one!)

Also still getting a lot of play, the soundtrack to Silsilay (the 2005 movie, *not* the 1981 classic with Amitabh) which I saw on a recent flight to India and kept rewinding the video on demand to play the musical scenes. Highlights include Ahista, Ahista (with Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Nigam & Jayesh Gandhi) and Meri Jaan (Alka Yagnik & Kunal Gunjawala who also do another duet, Ban Jaiye). There's also a couple of uptempo club numbers with Sunidhi Chauhan and Kailash Kher. The movie itself interestingly features a cameo by Shahrukh Khan who does the intro the cast of characters, and yes, he does get to do a musical sequence as well.

I've been on a Devdas soundtrack kick, meself..... the one starring Sharukh. I'm fond of Maar Daala and Dola Re Dola (pardon gross americanized spellings)...

I was laughing, should I double check how to spell Sharukh before I post? I was afraid the spell check police would get me!...lol..
but you would be surprised how many times my name is spelled wrong...99 times out of 100! One of the biggest kicks we get is going to Starbucks. I don't care for the coffee much or the coolness of being a starbucks fan, but once in a while I have to duck in. We give our names at the register, and it is so fun to get your cup at the other counter and see what name they gave you or how they spelled it. My name is Therese, my daughters is Amadea and my sweety's is Vivek...So I was also a bit apprehensive about posting the names of the movies because I was sure I would spell them wrong!...gotta go, the neighbors kids are all over here asking me such silly questions, it is hard to post right now...Mario...go away!!! Stop!!!

    Hi Therese
So... Are you more into "folk/traditional" style music like Paheli or do you enjoy modern style Bollywood sounds better?
There are also some GREAT soundtracks from 70ies movies.
So it depends on your taste what to recommend.

I like both...We have some great soundtracks that are so sweet...but because they are copies from my husbands stuff that is still back in India, I am not sure of the titles....I cannot read them too good, they are scribbled in sharpie...Thoda Hai Thoda Ki Jaroorat Hai...looks like...(One of my favorite songs..."we don't have much...") Here is one, not sure exactly what is on it, but If I have it there is a reason, I always tell him to copy it if I liked it..., Dil Hai Tum Hara Tosh Tosh it looks like. We have one called Venus Hits and one called MTV Indian Hit list. RD Burman is my Husbands ultimate favorite, and neither of us can stand A R Rahman....I enjoy the folk/traditional elements...the Lata and Asha
