I bought and tried 2 copies of Devdas and in both of them the songs are fuzzy sounding while the dialogue is not. Where do I buy movies that have good sound quality? When I rent them from our movies store they are ok.

Where did you buy them from?

Try Nehaflix....store.nehaflix.com/ They're in the US, and I've always had good luck with the quality. A

lso, Eros Entertainment...www.erosentertainment.com/...is pretty good, although they don't always tell you ahead of time whether the movie is in stock and they're usually more expensive than Nehaflix.

You may want to get on the Nehaflix mailing list. Every other month or so they offer free shipping on purchases of $30 or more. I save up my titles til that e-mail comes... ; )

Several of my friends own Devdas and have no problems with it. I know there's an abundance of bootleg bollywood DVD's that are sold so maybe you got some of those. Oh, FYI, there is an English dubbed version of Devdas that has the same cover but is shorter than the hindi version and missing some of the great dance scenes. Be careful you don't get that one by accident!

I usually buy from Eros, but I will try the Nehaflix suggestion next time.

I just rented Dhadkan and the sound is atrocious! This is the first time I've encountered such bad quality. I guess it just totally depends on your luck!

It's not really luck - you have to make sure that you get originals.

Pirated DVDs are often bad quality. Blurry picture, bad sound etc.

I bought them from a local used bookstore that buys what people bring in. It seems odd that both of them would be that way. All the song chapters are there, the picture is fine, and the speaking is fine. just during the songs is fuzzy sound. I am just worried to buy yet another copy and have it turn out bad. Thanks for all the advice.
